The lecture portion of the Zoom calls will be audio recorded and available to listen to within 24 hours of the live class session.
Program Details
Your Real Food Rx is a 6-week online program that is designed to be a kick-start towards more optimal health! During our 6 weeks together, we focus on three main aspects of nutritional health: eating REAL food + our habits around grocery shopping, meals, and snacking + our beliefs and mindset around what healthy eating really means to us. We meet weekly via Zoom to discuss things like blood sugar balance, optimizing digestion, obtaining your essential nutrients through foods, and proper hydration habits. This program includes a 28-day clean eating challenge that urges participants to eat nutrient-rich, whole foods and eliminate things like processed sugar, processed foods, and alcohol. After the 28-day clean eating challenge ends, we talk about the proper re-introduction of foods so you don't revert back to old habits. |

SMOOTHIE BOWL
For breakfast, a smoothie bowl made with coconut milk, a clean protein powder, a handful of greens, and 1/2 banana, then topped with unsweetened coconut flakes, cocoa nibs and fresh berries.

FAQ
What does the diet portion of this program look like?
We encourage a plant heavy Paleo style diet which includes whole fruits, vegetables, unprocessed meats, fish, eggs, nuts and seeds. These are all foods that could've been acquired by our great, great ancestors through hunting and gathering practices. We discourage processed foods, alcohol and processed sugar during this program. A complete list of foods to enjoy and foods to avoid (along with a sample menu) are provided on day 1 of the program.
Can vegetarians do this program?
Yes. However, this program is not designed for vegans.
What is the specific layout of the program?
Each week, we meet via zoom on Tuesday from 5-6:15pm PST to discuss various nutritional health foundations.

What is included in the program?
- Six 75-minute, small group, online meetings via Zoom (Tuesday's from 5-6:15pm PST)
- Weekly content delivered via the Practice Better platform for 6 weeks
- A weekly challenge in 3 different areas: diet + mindset + lifestyle/habits
- A 28 day REAL FOOD challenge that focuses on proper amounts of protein, carbs and fats ('foods to enjoy/foods to avoid' lists included)
- Private group chat via the Practice Better app on your smart phone (can also be accessed from your desktop computer)
- 10% off any supplements
- We emphasize and encourage obtaining your nutrients from whole foods during this program. However, there are times when adding in various supplements can help the body achieve optimal wellness. We discuss some of the basic supplements during this program.
Do I need to attend the entire class?
We designed this program with the intention of having attendance for all 6 classes for both the lecture and the Q&A/discussion. However, the lecture portion (5-5:45pm PST) will be recorded and can be watched anytime. If you have questions or would like to be part of the discussion (which we HIGHLY recommend), you should plan to be online from 5:45-6:15pm (preferably with your camera on, if possible). Technically, you can listen to the recorded lecture anytime, and just attend the Q&A/discussion (5:45-6:15pm) if you have questions.
Are there any additional required materials for this program?
It is not required, but we encourage participants to purchase 3 compartment containers for weeks 3-6 of this program. You can find these containers in glass (5 pack) HERE, or in BPA free, food-grade safe plastic (6 pack) HERE.
I am incredibly active and can't go on a low calorie diet. Can I still do this program?
Absolutely! This is NOT a low calorie program! Once the program begins, you will receive a list of foods to enjoy during the program. We encourage highly active clients to eat according to their activity level.
